About Us

Heidi Marie Larson, PE

Heidi is a distinguished professional, holding licensure as an engineer in Colorado, California, and Hawaii, alongside a LEED accreditation, demonstrating her commitment to sustainable energy practices. With a robust background in renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, she excels in both technical intricacies and strategic vision. Her expertise spans the technical, commercial, and financial realms, allowing her to drive value creation and achieve objectives within diverse organizational settings.

Specializing in renewable energy, Heidi has lent her expertise to the development and technical diligence of nearly 20 gigawatts of renewable energy projects. Notably, Heidi has spearheaded or contributed to efforts totaling over $30 billion in power development and investment activities.

Heidi's career trajectory began in the aerospace and energy sectors as a design engineer. As an energy efficiency engineer, she developed programs for school districts and municipalities. Embracing the integration of renewable energy systems into broader efficiency initiatives in the mid-2000s, Heidi's career trajectory then evolved further. In 2011, she transitioned to management consulting and subsequently assumed leadership in 2014 of the solar energy practice at Leidos Engineering, formerly known as SAIC and R.W. Beck.

In 2016, Heidi joined ICF to establish a technical consultancy, complementing the Energy Advisory division's existing policy, environmental, and market due diligence services. Her responsibilities encompassed competition assessment, business development, client relationship management, project management, due diligence services, and strategic planning. Under her leadership, the ICF practice flourished, expanding from 6 to over 50 team members in less than seven years, with annual revenues exceeding $10 million by 2023.  The team supported an array of technologies and projects in every stage of development – from concept through construction/commissioning and assets in operation. Heidi's strategic acumen was instrumental in identifying and evaluating potential acquisition targets for ICF, culminating in the successful acquisition of CMY Solutions in 2023.

In 2023, Heidi embarked on her entrepreneurial journey, founding Aevit Solutions to offer specialized consulting services supporting energy sector development and investment. Additionally, she co-founded Argyle Energy, a renewable development platform focused on early-stage asset development in the upper Great Plains and Rocky Mountain West regions, showcasing her innovative spirit and commitment to driving sustainable growth.  She is also currently serving on the advisory board for the University of Wyoming, Mechanical Engineering Program.

Heidi's proven track record of leadership, strategic vision, and expertise in the energy sector allow her to shape organizational strategy, foster innovation, and drive organizational success in the dynamic energy landscape.
